Taking History into the Future: Thanking Our Donors

As we move into the busy holiday season, we want to take a moment to give the biggest "THANK YOU" to you, our supportive and generous donors! Your continued gifts, ranging from monetary support to your invaluable time, experience, and knowledge, have allowed our students and department to continue to foster a deeper sense of community within the University of Rochester History Department.

Just this year, your gifts have enabled us to:

• Assist 11 students in purchasing their required history textbooks and reading materials with the Kelly Family History Book Fund

• Fund graduate student research and conference trips to:

  • Massachusetts, North Carolina, Texas

  • Vienna, Austria

  • Brussels, Belgium

  • Dijon & Paris, France

  • Leipzig, Germany

  • Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan

  • Mexico City, Mexico

  • Madrid, Seville, & Valencia, Spain

  • Basel, Bern, & Zurich, Switzerland

• Provide 25 undergraduate research experiences through the HOUR program, in which students collaborate with faculty on their scholarly work and learn new research skills through the History Alumni Advisory Committee Fund for Undergraduate Studies

• Support student-centered events for undergraduate and graduate students such as the celebrations for the Class of 2023, our annual undergraduate picnic, our monthly graduate workshops, along with other events planned with our students in mind

• And so much more!
